В условиях новой глобальной открытости мир стремительно меняется, что вызывает объективную необходимость глубокого теоретического осмысления происходящих процессов и их последствий для общества и государства, адекватного реагирования на вызовы времени. Только в этом случае можно не остаться на «задворках» глобализирующегося мира, обеспечить интересы и безопасность российского социума. В центре внимания автора — проблема влияния многомерных глобализационных процессов на безопасность страны в пограничной сфере, порождаемые этими процессами угрозы и вызовы, а также меры противодействия им.

In the new global openness the world is rapidly changing, it cause an objective need for deep theoretical understanding current processes and their implications for society and the state, to respond adequately to the challenges of the time. Only in this case it is possible not stay on the "backyard" of a globalizing world, to ensure the interests and security of the Russian society. Our focus is problem of the influence of multidimensional globalization processes on the country's security in the border sphere, the threat posed by these processes and challenges.

Border security is primarily affected by political globalization, which leads to the following threats in the border area

—    sovereignty is limited and open border rises;

—    actions of the separatist forces are provoked;

—    special services of foreign states, international terrorist and extremist organizations are stepping up their efforts to collect information and to destabilize the situation in frontier territories

Economic globalization is a set of processes of globalization of the market (capital, labor, goods and services) and the globalization of economic forms, which are understood as institutional strengthening of the economy including the creation of global super-companies that are able to weaken the role of national states through economic dominance. Threats to national security in the frontier sphere, that determined by the influence of economic globalization, are related not only with the deterioration of social and economic situation and the continuing unevenness of development of the border regions, but also with the increase of the external economic pressure on the Russian border area.

Information globalization is now the most indicative of the global integration process and includes:

—    development of communication capabilities and use of outer space for the transmission of information,

—    the emergence and rapid growth of global information networks,

—    computerization of many processes of human life.

Information globalization not only brings technological capabilities and benefits, but also creates a real and potential threats to national security in the frontier sphere associated with a variety of participants in the internal information market, including in the border regions, the continuing dependence on the state and public institutions in the country from foreign technology and information structures, as well as the capability to capture and distribution on the Internet any information that is not only used by foreign intelligence services, but also by international terrorist organizations.

Cultural globalization is a process of integration of national (ethnic) cultures in a unified global culture through the development of modern means of communication. The transition to a post-industrial economy, the development of information technologies generates information streams that do not recognize state borders. Spread of innovative technologies, the free flow of information contributes to cultural exchange, rapprochement of peoples, universalization of human values, and practices. At the same time, cultural globalization promotes the introduction by foreign and domestic private media of alien norms, ideals, values, behavior patterns in mass and individual consciousness of citizens, especially residents of border areas, that is not best effect on the the spiritual image and moral and psychological state of employees of border authorities.
